It’s been a while since I was able to provide an update on progress. 2020 has been absolutely crazy, as I’m sure everyone can attest for themselves. I got picked up for a competitive education opportunity at work, which demanded nearly all of my attention for the last ten weeks. But it’s done now, and things weren’t on a complete standstill for my author life during all that. I surpassed one major milestone – I sold my entire first year’s goal worth of books in almost exactly three months, so I had to celebrate with a giveaway. It was conducted between Instagram and Facebook. Two winners received a signed copy of “The Wolf’s Shadow,” in addition to a canvas print from my time in Mongolia or an Amazon gift cert. As of today, my book has made to seven countries: USA of course, Ireland, the UK, Germany, New Zealand, Indonesia, and an undisclosed location in Africa. Sooooo exciting!!!
I’m still plugging away on book 2, but it’s been slow going. I was struggling to get through a particular scene, but I’m through it now and starting to pull on entirely new threads. A challenge in itself! I am still hoping to release the book this time next year, but several things need to fall into place first so we’ll see how that goes.
And finally, an announcement: I have decided based on the response so far, to take the leap and start looking into what it will take to release “The Wolf’s Shadow” as an Audiobook! Stay tuned for more info there, but I’m excited and nervous to head down that road. Hope you are all staying safe in these uncertain times.
